Production Manager (Post & Compositing) - Mainframe TV - Octonauts
Our TV Series Octonauts is on the hunt for a Production Manager (Post and Compositing) to join the team. We are looking for someone who can coordinate the final wrangling, publishing, assembly and delivery of all final shots for 28 x 11 minute episodes. If you have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience working in a professional capacity within the animation industry...you should apply!
  • Ensure that the Editorial team is organized and efficient at tracking down and acquiring all shot and shot components coming from animation, lighting and special effects departments. 
  • Responsible for scheduling and maintaining the production’s master delivery schedule while providing regular updates to the Line Producer, as well as coordinating delivery materials to external vendors as well as client.  
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining the Editor’s, Compositors and Re-touch Artists daily work schedule.
  • Responsible for setting-up and supervising a smooth on-going delivery system between the production studio and client over-seas, coordinating media files internally and externally.
  • Responsible for working with the post production department to make sure all assets are delivered to Audio Post, Online, DI, QC, vendors and client.
  • Responsible for reporting problems and on-going issues with shots to the Editorial team, CGI Supervisor, and Line Producer to ensure quality remains consistent and on par with expectations.
  • Other duties as requested by the Line Producer and CG Supervisor
  • University degree, Technical College Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of  relevant experience.
Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a thorough knowledge of the Post Production process.
  • Must be familiar with Excel, Word, and Google docs in order to maintain spreadsheets for delivery schedules.
  • Experience with Shotgun and Avid is ideal, but not essential.
  • Energetic and a strong team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task various departments.
  • Must be able to work within the imposed budget and schedule constraints.
  • Must be able to communicate creative, technical concerns and ideas to others effectively.
  • Must be highly organized and be able to improvise when needed.
