Production Assistant

Overall Accountability

A Production Assistant at Rainmaker is a highly motivated individual looking to get his/her feet wet in the production industry!  Taking on a vast array of duties, from off-site errands to moving equipment around the building, Production Assistants are exposed to all aspects of the production process.

Many of Rainmakers current employees got their start in the company as Production Assistants and have moved on to become Animators, Modelers, Coordinators, to name a few.  This is an entry level full-time, contract position. 

Duties

•          Run errands as requested by authorized individuals (i.e. airport runs, Costco type runs, etc.)
•          Move and set-up computers, furniture, equipment as needed
•          Check and restock supplies (paper at the photocopiers, milk for coffee, etc)
•          Delivery internal mail on an ongoing basis (this includes both mail from post and mail from employee to employee within the facility)
•          Prepare and input FedEx shipments by pick up time and be prepared for late airport FedEx drop offs
•          Escort visitors through building (always be aware of and report unauthorized visitors)
•          Everyday inside facility tasks and assistance (photocopying, scanning, changing light bulbs, etc)
•          Set-up and teardown for meetings, demos, etc.
•          Maintain cleanliness of shared appliances (refrigerators, waster dispensers, etc)

Qualifications

•          Must have a valid class 5 drivers license
•          Must be able to do heavy lifting as required
•          Good at multi-tasking and prioritizing
•          Good organizational and inter-personal skills
•          Ability to take directions
•          Must be proactive and able to anticipate the needs of production and facility
•          Industry knowledge and/or experience an asset
